How to Applaud for Blanc in Heartopia
Use the Clap action while standing close to Blanc during the active quest. If Clap is missing, open your Watch, enter Town Guide, and finish the Daily Life Guide task named Emote & Action first.
Exact steps
Track Applaud for Blanc, travel to Blanc's current quest marker, and stand within normal conversation range. Open the emote and action menu, switch to the Actions tab if needed, then choose Clap. Wait for the animation to finish before moving away.
- Track the quest so the correct Blanc instance is active.
- Face Blanc and stand close enough to interact.
- Choose Clap, not a similarly cheerful pose.
- Let the full animation play, then check the quest tracker.
If the Clap action is missing
Clap is treated as an early character action, but it may not appear until the introductory action tutorial is complete. Open the Watch, choose Town Guide, find Daily Life Guide, and accept Emote & Action. Finish that short tutorial, reopen the action menu, and return to Blanc.
- Do not search Annie's friendship store first.
- Check both the Emote and Actions tabs.
- Reload the area after completing the tutorial if the menu did not refresh.
Why the quest does not count
The usual causes are using the wrong animation, standing too far away, applauding before the quest is tracked, or interacting with Blanc outside the active quest step. Re-track the objective and approach the marker again.
- Move directly beside Blanc.
- Cancel other animations before using Clap.
- Finish dialogue before applauding.
- Restart the client only after the tutorial and positioning checks.
