Heartopia has two fish entries with Shrimp in the official database used by this guide: Common Shrimp in the East Sea and Oriental Shrimp in any river. Both unlock at Fishing Level 1 and use a small shadow.

Best catch route
Start with the East Sea shoreline for Common Shrimp, then teleport inland and cast in a river for Oriental Shrimp. Target small shadows to avoid spending time on medium and large fish.
- Common Shrimp: fish along the East Sea coast.
- Oriental Shrimp: use any river section with clear casting space.
- Normal fishing is enough; neither row is marked as a Sea Fishing Event catch.
Bait and requirements
The project database does not record a unique bait or attractor for either shrimp. Use your normal rod and standard fishing setup. Do not confuse Common Shrimp with event-only sea catches or Oriental Shrimp with a sea species.
Why shrimp does not appear
Check that you are fishing in the correct water type and aiming at small shadows. Move to another fishing node after several casts, clear nearby catches, and make sure the line is actually inside the named sea or river zone.
- Wrong water type is the most common error.
- Both species are Level 1, so hobby level is rarely the blocker.
- Time and normal weather do not restrict these two database rows.
